1. Students will have opportunities throughout the school year to earn money for their individual accounts. Need to decide which fundraisers are designated for students and which are for band parents. My suggestion is as follows:
Student Accounts – Mr. Z’s
Candles
Bowl-a-Thon
Band Parents – Fruit Sales
Spaghetti Super
Basket Binga
Trash Bag Sales
2. Money earned shall be used for the following purposes:
A. Pay student’s portion of trip fees.
B. Meals not covered during trips – Parents must advise Mr. Tripp of the need for additional money cover meals during trip. X amount per meal shall be given to student prior to trip to pay for meals.
C. Instrument purchases and/or repairs
D. Summer Band Camps
E. Band T-shirts
F. Uniform Parts
G. Etcetra...
3. Access to the money in individual accounts needs to be put in writing and signed by the student before being given to Mr. Tripp will allow access to their funds.
4. At the end of the student’s Senior year or if the student drops out of band prior to graduation, the money left in his/her account may be "Willed" to a sibling or another student, by giving Mr. Tripp written notice of such designation. If the student has made no designation prior to the start of the next school year, the money shall be transferred into the Band Parents general fund.
